My painting is a 2 part process. The first part is about randomness. I spill ink and water onto the blank paper mindlessly, almost meditatively. Basically, I make a mess. The second part is about finding the art hiding in the chaos, and carving it out with my brushes and paint. Sometimes I see shadows of figures that materialize like ghosts.

Sometimes I see strong lines of direction and focal points that form an interesting aesthetic. The meaning for me falls somewhere between interpreting dreams, and trimming a bonsai tree. That's not to say my artworks do not have concrete meaning. They do. Just that their meanings are revealed through the process, like filming a movie without a script.
